normal.dot problem

Hello,
Operating system = XP
Office Suite = 2003

When closing a Word file receive the message "File Normal
already exists do you wish to replace?"
Also receive the message ""change from global template...
all documents are unavailable"
I had the client search for the normal.dot template with
the idea of renaming it normal.old and restarting word
but the client cannot find normal.dot through a search or
in C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application
Data\Microsoft\Templates.

Any ideas?

Where normal.dot is located depends on the operating system, the version of
Word and the settings. It is often hidden or in a hidden folder. The person
has to have folder options set to view hidden files and folders.
