normal.dot problems

We install Office XP and everything works fine. We then
install EndNote 6 and when we open Word it says it cannot
open normal.dot and wants to shut down. We then
uninstall EndNote but the problem persists. We have
reinstalled Office XP 4 times but the same thing happens
each time we put EndNote on. Any ideas?
