Normal.dot template and styles

Hi again

I'm having trouble with the normal.dot template and the styles feature. I
hate that it keeps highlighting all my text in blue any time I change the
style default. Does anyone know how to stop it doing that.

It's a Word option for editing purposes (when direct formatting has been
applied over style formatting) called "Mark formatting inconsistencies".

If you can't find it, tell us which version of Word you're using.
