I am experiencing problems with Office XP / 2000 / 2003 after installing XP
SP2. When modifying Toolbars or creating Autoformat entries, it is not saved
in Normal.dot. On re-opening Word, etc. after creating Autoformat entries,
everything is gone. When I re-install Windows XP (without SP2) everything
works fine. Any suggestions please.

Do you also have Adobe installed? If so then their PDFMaker add-in is
discarding all of your changes in Normal.dot. This is their latest issue
they've caused attempting to workaround other issues their add-in causes.
Their only other alternative is to actually program it correctly...

Anyway, it's recommended you remove their add-in. If you must leave it
installed then for force Word to save your Normal.dot (before Adobe can
discard your changes) hold Shift, click File, and then click Save All.

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email can not be acknowledged.
