Hi can someone tell me where I can find my normal.dotx template on a Mac, I
cant seem to find it and I want to modify the default do cument when I open
Word

Looking for .docx probably will not help - as it's a .dotm, despite its
inability to contain VBA macros on Mac.

Try

Macintosh HD:Users:<your user name>:Library:Application
Support:Microsoft:Office:User Templates

Alternatively, create a document based on the normal template, insert
the field

{ template \p }

update it, show the result, and see what you get - proper programming
lives (well, probably not for long)!
