Not able to get private appointments programaticaly using Outlook 2002

We currently have Outlook 2002 and shared a resource
calendar to his/her manager. The manager can see the time
blocked for the resource's private appointments. But when
we get the appointments programaticaly using MAPIFolder
and DAppointmentItem objects using a C++ programm we are
not able to get the private appointments. We used to get
the appointments using Outlook 98 and by checking the
Sensitivty value we were able to identify it as a private
appointment
