Not able to remove a delegate

Hello,

An employee left the company awhile ago, and to avoid "undeliverable"
messages, I removed the employee's delegate status on a number of machines.
On one in particular, though, while I can remove the entry from the
delegates tab, as soon as I close out Options, and recheck, the delegate
entry has reappeared. The delegates account has been deactivated and
removed from the server. Logging in/out, restarting do not help. Any
suggestions?
