I am not able to see Program Portal in Project Server 2007, and not able to
create a program.
Is there any configuration needs to be done ?

Hi Tina,

there are several ways how you can handles Programs, but I would assume that
you are also after a Program Workspace. Essentially you will need to create a
Master Project and Publish this Master Project to Project Server. the Master
project is essentially your Program.

Let me know if you dont know how to create a Master Project and I am happy
to outline the steps you need to take to create a master project

Hope this helps

Thanks for your prompt reply.
Yes my original understanding was that master project and program are
interchangable terms, once master project published to server, we call it
program.\

However, later i got confused by a paragraphy in a white paper "What is new
in project server 2007". It says " .... Using the Program Center in Project
Web Access, a program manager can create a new top-down program, assign
dates, define commitments, and even define any required custom fields. This
program can be built from scratch, or built from a previously submitted
proposal. " Looks like there is something called Program Center or Program
portal in project server, and user can build a program from top down, .. but
i am not able to find this feature. That is why i send out this question.
Appreciate if anyone can clarify this issue.

Hi Tina,

within Project Server you dont have a "Program Center" and you cannot have a
"top down" planning tool in Project Server. You may have read the Project
Portfolio Server white paper. In the Portfolio Server you have the abillity
of top down planning.

What I can confirm is that the Master Project is considered to be the
Program within Project Server.

I hope that clarifies it some more. Please let me know ifyou have further
questions.
Thanks
