not accepting my product key

I just brought an E machines computer and microsoft office 2003 the 60 day
trial was already installed on the computer. Each time I try to put the
product key in it will not except it.

sure you are entering the product key for Office 2003, not the
product key for Windows XP that is on the side or bottom of your
computer.
