Not continuous page numbers

John

I have a document created in Word 2000. It has 3 next
page sections.

First page is the title page. Nothing is in the header
or footer. Next page section break is on this page.

Second page is the first page of text. It has a header
and page numbers in the footer. Both header and footer
are _not_ 'same as previous'.

Page three header and footer are 'same as previous'.
Next page section break in middle of page with leading
paragraph mark. The page number is 3, which is correct.

Page four has a different header so header is _not_ 'same
as previous'. Footer is 'same as previous' since there
are no differences. But the page number is 3 instead of
4.

Page five header and footer are 'same as previous'. But
the page number is 4 and should be 5.

Page numbers are:

None
2 of 12
3 of 12
3 of 12
4 of 12
..

Can you help me so I don't have 2 page 3's?

Thanks

Hi John

From the footer on page 4, click the Format Page Number button. I suspect
you will find this is set to start at page 3, when you need it to be
continuous?

Thanks Margaret

It worked great!!!

Nothing like having the answer staring you in the face.
:(

Do you think that this is a new feature?

If it is then I won't have to tell my coworkers that I
may actually not know everything.
;-}

Have a great week.

Thanks again
John
