not enough memory when opening windows programs

when i try to open any microsoft office program it displays a error tab
claiming that i dont have enough memory when earlyer in the week it hab been
working nad i have tons of xs memory

help please

Which OS? What does WIndows say when you give it the 3 finger salute and
click on the performance tab under available free physical memory?
