Not enough memory

My database is about 2 Mb. When I open reports Access says sometimes "Not
enough memory to display." (something like that in english). After that some
fonts come bigger and it isn't very nice to work with the database. What's
wrong? RAM 256 Mb. No other programs open.

What version of Access and what OS? If something like Access 2003 running on
Windows XP, 256 MB of ram is minimal. Try 512 MB.

Have you updated your virus checker lately and run it? The same goes for
your spyware checker.

Try setting your Windows display settings to a smaller resolution and fewer
number of colors.

Good suggestions that didn't help me. I quess the only possibility is to buy
more memory. This is Access 2003 and Windows XP.

Hello!

I just wonder after visiting Microsoft's pages: they say that 128 RAM is
enogh for Access 2003?

M$ also said that Windows 95 would run on 16 mb of memory! If the only thing
running was Access, then it might be possible for a simple database. Of
course you'd be giving up virus protection and everything else in the icons
and button on the bottom of your screen.

It's still possible that buying more RAM won't help. You could have some
other program that has a memory leak. Unless you have the money readily
available, I recommend taking the database to another similar computer and
seeing if it works there.
