Not enough space on C for installing MSOffice2007 SP1-update

HELP!. I have MS Office 2007 installed on my new netbook. The netbook has a
Solid State Disk of 4Gb as C-partition/Windows-partition. To save space on C,
I have installed MS-Office on D-partition (8Gb Solid State Disk). All works
allright.
Yesterday I tried to install SP1: online-update. Installation failed, due to
lack of space on C.
I downloaded SP1 manually, saved it on D-partition (to save the free space
on C), and tried installing again (free space on C: 530 Mb). It failed again:
to little free space on C.
How much space SP1 needs to get installed, for heavens-sake.
How do I solve this?? I don't know how to create more space on C.
WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Two options, get a bigger HDD, or remove Office 2007 and install Office
2003 (smaller).

Cleaning-up C:\, may or may not help.

Your problem is that during installation, installation temporary files are
placed on the primary drive. Apprears that your primary drive does not have
enough space for both your current files and the temporary installation
files.

You could obtain a 4 GB or larger flash drive and move program files for
other applications {except for the Windows folder files} and data files to
the flash drive. That step may give you enough space on your primary drive
for the Office SP-1 installation files. If you can then install SP-1, the
tempoary installation files will be deleted. Move the files and data back
from the flash drive to their prior locations on your primary drive.

BTW. The size you stated for both of your solid state drives is much too
small.
