Not find the object MsysDb?

E

Emilio

Hi,
I searched this newsgroup yesterday for this:
"The Microsoft Jet Database Engine could not find the
object MSysDb. Make sure the object exists and that
you've spelled its name and path name correctly".

and found 1 case diagnosted as corrupted file.
My case is a little different in that when I log with my
name(Administrator rights) it works perfectly.
Then I granted Administrator rights to the user but still
has the problem.
I backed up in several places as a precaution.
Does anyone know what could be?

TIA,
Emilio

PS- The only thing that changed in that computer is that I
used a program (wasted the money) called Move-Me
(recommended by PC-World magazine)to try to copy the hard
drive to a new computer, didn't work properly.
But this computer being the OLD one, all this program is
supposed to do is "fill the moving van"=(copy) and transfer
to the NEW one.
Everything else works fine.

I am getting the same error message. It occurred after I
was trying to edit a complex form, which froze my
computer. When I rebooted and tried to open the database
I get the error. I believe I have a corrupted file as
well but I'm not sure why this is happening. I will try
your suggestion to log in under administrator. Thanks.

Check out the corruption links and information at MVP Tony Toews' site,
http://www.granite.ab.ca/accsmstr.htm.

(I just realized that I use that link so much that I just type it in as
second nature and don't even have to copy it to make sure I get it right,
anymore. <G> Thanks, Tony.)
