Not installed for current user

hi,
i have had problems with my office products (word,
excell, etc) since the log in was changed to automatic
log on when my system crashed shortly after i bought it.
i keep reinstalling ms office xp and once i turn off the
computer and go to use word or anything else again i get
the same result, saying not installed for current user
yet i am set up as the administrator and am the only
user. the log in icon flashes quickly on start up if
that means anything. it is really frustrating and seems
to be something solveable, i just can't find a solution
to it. do you have any idea what could be causing this.
any help would be greatly apprecitated.
