not printing page numbers

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
Processor: Intel

In Word 2008, when I send to print, page numbers just dont appear. I have tried changing margins and nothing, numbers appears in Print Preview but are not printed. I found another post asking for similiar solution, but it seems Mactopia didnt have any.

The person with this problem, had to move his document to a PC, and back to a Mac to be able to print page numbers and headers. This is a lame solution. So please.. Im asking you Mactopia Professionals to help me solve this issue.

Before anything else:

Make sure that both office (12.2.1) & OS X (10.6.1) are fully updated & that
you've checked the mfr's web site to see if there is a more recent update
for your printer driver. The printer driver is the key issue -- especially
if the H/F show in Print Preview -- and may need to be reinstalled. If the
problem continues once all is confirmed...

What margins are you changing? Top & Bottom are less likely to be at fault
than the Header & Footer margins themselves -- have you increased them?

If you create a PDF does the H/F content display in it? If so, can you then
print the PDF intact?
