not responding error message when creating links

It takes about 5 minutes for me to create a link using Publisher 2007 in a
website I am making. I get the 'not responding' error message while each
link is being created. Is there a fix for this?

This is not a common problem. Does this happen if you open a new web
publication?

I would guess that if it happens with all publications, that it might be a
problem with your video or printer drivers. Possible solutions are to check
for updated drivers. Possibly run the Office Diagnostics under Help. Make
sure that you have installed SP2.

Hope one of those ideas leads to a solution.
