I use wsftp to put pages on the site
I redid a page saved it-exited fp and uploaded the page to the website. The
changed page shows up on the website, but when I open the site locally to
make more changes it doesn't have the uploaded changes.

I downloaded the page from the web to the local site and opened it locally
with ie6 and its okay, but as soon as I open the site with fp the file
reverts back to the previous version.

Are you sure FrontPage is opening the same file location that you uploaded,
and not another version?

Are you first opening a FrontPage Web site, and only then opening your page
within that Web site?

Have you tried deleting all the .web files on your disk?

I'm having the same problem. My page works great in my local site. When I
save it and tranfer it using front page 2003 it won;t function properly on
the remote web site. Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks,
Gary E.

I have searched the hd for other files with the same name as the one that I
can't get to change in my local web and the file I downloaded shows up in
downloads and in my web until I open web with frontpage. At that point they
become 2 different files. The files in the read.htm in photogallery on both
the local and remote sites seem to be a like and don't show the pictures
that I added. I decided to download the remote site to a new local site
with fp and recieved servor error url _vti_cnf is invalid. I'm going to try
deleting the page in question from the local site and remake it, but I can't
quite determine how to get all of the previous slide show information
removed. I open the last site open with fp. I have however closed that
site and then reopened it with no change. One thing I'm sure of is if I wax
the site on my harddrive fp won't download it correctly. I'm wondering if
wsftp is doing something. I will try deleting the .web files.

Make sure your home page file name is that required by your host
Then see
- FTP (publishing to a server w/o the FP SE)
See http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;825503&Product=fp2003
- HTTP (publishing to a server w/ the FP SE)
See http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;825528&Product=fp2003
(you do not use a folder name w/ http)
