Not seeing all folders when saving Access file

Hi, I don't think this question is limited to Access only and may be more on
the XP operating system. I keep my XP up to date and I think I see a new
issue .....

I notice now that when I go to save a newer Access file that sometimes when
I go to put it in a specific folder (that is maybe several layers down in
other folders) - - that I am not being presented that folder (or all the
folders) visually as an icon.

I know the unseen folders are there and they are not hidden per normal
modes....but are still not showing when I go to save an Access file into
them. My work around has been to save them in one of the seen folders but
then use MyComputer to then move the file.

Anyone else seen this? I note that it seems like the folder that is seen
when in Save mode with Access is a folder that has an Access file in it - - -
- and the folder(s) being made invisible erroneously are without an Access
file. But I haven't formally tested that theory.... Would welcome others
with prior experience to comment. thanks.

The dialog box should show any folder that Explorer is set to show. If you
have set the dialog box to Detail view it is possible to change the display
order, the folders may not be in the usual order.

if you know the name of a folder, type the folder name\ and
press the enter key - that will take you into the folder, even
if (a) the folder name is not browsable, or (b) directory services
is running to slowly.
