Not sending emails

I'm new to Project Server so this may be a simple question. Currently my
resources are not being notified via email of their tasks and to-do-lists.
The email address for each resource is set up within their user profile,
notifications are set up to send emails immediately upon creating, and
Project Server is properly set up with correct SMTP address (192.168.1.18)
and port (25 - Outgoing SMTP server).

Am I missing something in the setup? Please help.

Is your mail server configured to allow mail relay from your Project Server
machine?

I'm lauging out loud...I've spent the past couple of hours trying to figure
out why this is happening...one of my tech guys just informed me (right
before you replied) that our mail server needs to be configured to allow mail
relay from the project server box.

Thanks for the reply...that's exactly what the problem is.

In short, Microsoft gives the MVP award to technology influencers who either
steadily contribute quality answers on the news groups or do things like
author books or anything else Microsoft "feels" like giving the award for.
It's certainly something you can aspire to achieve but understand that the
award is completely discretionary for Microsoft.
