notebook window background

Hi,
I was just wondering how to change the window background in notebook
view, or page layout, for that matter. I don't mean the document
background, but the background around the document. Currently, it's a
kind of metalic blue.

Word takes its window color from the System Preferences window color
setting. Choose System Preferences/Appearance, change the Appearance
color (your choices are blue and graphite, at least for Tiger).

You'll need to close and reopen the window, and the color will apply
system wide, obviously.
