Notepaper 'rewritten'

D

Dave Neve

Hi

Sorry to start over on this again but I am more confused than ever.

I've been trying to design notepaper to use in Outlook.

I thought that the notepaper must be in .html format but I had loads of
problems already described.

Looking at Outlook and the folder C:\Program Files\Shared Files\Microsoft
Shared\Notepaper

I've noticed that there are two types of notepaper

1 .htm files alone (for paper with a pattern but no drawing)

2 .htm with an accompanying .jpg or .gif file (to add drawing )

The htm files seem to manipulate the .jpg or.gif.

For instance, there is a notepaper called 'Ivy'.

The .gif has a picture of one single leaf but when I open the .htm page, it
has lots of leaves (so I assume it is a repeated image)

It also runs down the left hand side of the page so their is inversion of
some sort.

Now, if this is more or less right, I am not surprised I couldn't get my
simple notepaper to work.

Does this mean I must use htm code or something to make notepaper?

Or is it that I can't see the wood for the trees?

Thanks

html format is the document format type that Outlook uses when you prepare
formatted layouts, so yes the backgrounds - in fact all the message - will
be html. We have already discussed why this may not be a good idea.
