notes converted to 24hr events - multi day items discconnected

Around August I started having trouble in Outlook 2003 with multi-day events
and calendar notes without time attached to them. Multi-day events are split
up to single day events. Notes without assigned time are being converted
into 24hr events and spilling over into the next day. I use a Palm T-3 and
the MS conduits to sync and it was working perfectly. A KB article invites
me to edit each event by hand, but I have over 1000 entries affected. Anyone
out there with a fix??

Notes don't normall show in the calendar. Can you describe this behavior more clearly?

I am using a Palm Tungsten T3 sync’ing via conduit to Outlook 2003. The Palm
allows me to add a non-time-specific message and recur if (eg. “Milly’s Bdâ€
entered on Dec 27, and set to recur every year on this date) or they could be
1-off entries (“drove 45 Km on company bzâ€). These worked fine until about 4
months ago. At that time the computer randomly selected entries and assigned
them a 1a.m. start time and a 24-hr duration. Also, Palm has a fixed data
field for Birthday that has been piped into Outlook in the same manner. Many
have now been set to 1 a.m. and 24-hr as well… I'm now bauld, I tore the
last hair out last week-end

is the time zone and daylight time setting identical on both devices?

This sounds a lot like a DST setting issue.

Thank you and Milly for your replies. Because ot the ball-up with daylight
savings time this year, I turned the automatic time change off, and set the
time manually. I don't remember setting the time on the Palm, but I think it
picked the time up during a sync (just guessing). How can i determine if
this was indeed the problem, and how can i prevent it next year?
