Notes do not show up in Gantt chart view. I have tried 4 times

I cannot get my notes to show up except on the detailed gantt view. Is it
that they just don't show up in the gantt chart view?

Notes don't normally show up in the Gantt view. I don't remember if you
can get them to show by running the Gantt Chart Wizard, but I believe
you can.

Notes can be turned on in Gantt Chart view by selecting "Insert/Column..."
from the menu bar and then selecting Notes. An alternative is to insert the
"Indicators" column where the not will look like a post it note icon.
