notes in margin

Hello: I am working in Word for Mac 12.0.1 I wish to put numbers (timecode)
in the margins of a transcript (document) I am working with. Any suggestions?

It would be best to ask in a Word for Mac newsgroup. This one is for
dicsussions about Microsoft Access, a relational database program. The web
interface for the newsgroups is not always clear.
