Notes on the Print Out

When printing out a calendar page on the lower right hand side is a notes
section.
How can anything be printed to it? What gets printed to it?
or is it just a space for using a good old fashioned pen.

Can anyone help me on this?

Nothing gets printed there. It's for your handwritten notes.
