Notes pages print out blank

I have a large presentation in 97 but about 20 slides in
the middle are a bit funny. If I print them out as notes
pages, all that comes out is the page numbers. These have
been imported from another person (also ppt 97). any
ideas?

Go to View/Master/Notes Master. Check those slides. Are the speaker
notes placeholders available, and do they have text in them?

If not, reapply the notes master to that page.

If so, then go to View/Black and White, right-click the placeholder, and
choose Black and White Settings. See if Black with White Fill resolves
the issue.
