Everything has been working fine with Outlook 2002.
Yesterday I tried to set up a third mailbox in my e-mail
accounts and a rule to go along with it (had previously
done this months ago for a second mailbox & rule and it
works fine).
I set up the account and rule (seemed to work) and then
clicked on Send/Receive (which also seemed to work). I got
two messages for my new third account but errors on the
first two (don't remember the error unfortunately).
From then on I always get errors on my first two
accounts. I wiped out the third account.
Now when I click on "Send/Receive", nothing happens - no
error message - nothing. Also, when I click on Tools the
menu options for the Rules Wizard don't appear. Also,
when I change something in my e-mail account (like the
name from "pop.earthlink.net" to "Marti", it will change
but then change back when I go in another time. Very
strange...
I have suspected a virus or something. I have used SpyBot
and fixed what it found. I have updated Norton AntiVirus
and run a complete scan. I have totally uninstalled
Office XP and re-installed. I have looked up the symptoms
on the Symantec web site. Nothing helps!!
My e-mail itself (Earthlink) is fine as long as I log onto
the Earthlink site and get it through web mail
I have exhausted all my knowledge and would really
appreciate some help. Thanks in advance.
