Several weeks ago, I transferred a copy of an Excel 2003 SP1 worksheet to my
portable via my home network, worked on it while away, and transfer the file
back to one of my desktops the same way. My network has a router, switch,
and all machines have firewalls and are protected by up-to-date virus
software.
When I transfer that file back to the desktop, I got a message saying "The
file (name) may have been changed by another user since you last saved it"
and asked if I want to make a copy or overwrite. I've always chosen to
overwrite.... there's only me here and no one gets at these machines.
Any idea why this is occurring? How do I stop the message from appearing
assuming it's false?
