Notification for tasks that are complete.

I have client who is getting "overdue" or "incomplete"
notifications for tasks that are 100% complete. I have
verified that the %complete is 100%, and have re-published
the assignments but we still get the notfications. The
project is NOT baselined.

Any thoughts??

Thanks,

Carl

Hi Carl,

Well, I won't share my thoughts on time being reported against non-baselined
tasks, since that does not matter regarding your issue, but just thought I'd
point out that this is more than likely not a good thing :-(

This problem usually occurs when a team member enters time for a task and
does not report that it is complete. The PM then goes and sets the
%Complete to 100%. The way to fix this is as follows:

1) Have the PM login to MSP Client and open the project in question.
2) Select the task(s) in question.
3) Go to the Collaborate->Publish->Re-publish Assignments menu items (do NOT
click OK yet).
4) Choose "Selected Items" from the drop-down.
5) Click the "Overwrite Actual Work Entered by Resources" checkbox (you can
choose whether or not to send a new e-mail by using the 'Notify all affected
resources via e-mail option... in this case, I would de-select the option).
6) Click OK.
7) The TM should login and see that the task(s) no longer appear as being
overdue.
