Notification of emails

Little Miss Giggles

When online, is it possibel to recieve notification of emails recieved,
without having to send/recieve?

I am running Outlook 2003.

If you are in "online" mode in Outlook, it will check mail at the
interval you specified in the options.

In the bottom right corner it will say either offline or online. If it
is offline, it will only check mail when you hit send/receive. If it is
online it will check until the connection is terminated.
