Notification of meeting, but not attend?

I want to invite the manager to the meeting, but just notify his
admiistrative assistant about the meeting in the invite ,since that person
handles the manager's calendar, how can I do that?

You could send the message with the assistant listed as an optional
attendee. If the manager and the assistant have configured their mailboxes
appropriately, sending a meeting invitation to the manager will actually
inform the assistant, if the assistant is set up as a delegate with certain
options.
