Notifications

I have a database with items with expirations dates. Is there a way to make
Access notify you automatically? I want Access to notify me of all the items
that will expire in the next 30 days or less, can this be done?

If it can't be done then how would I write the formula in a query to pull up
the items that will expire with in 30 days.

Thanks

Hi Marc

You'll need a query anyway, something like...

select *
from tblYourTable
where dateadd("d", -30, ExpiryDate) <= date()

To "automate" it, you can get it to run every time the database is opened by
specifying a startup form (in tools - startup) and running the query in the
form's open event.

SELECT *
FROM Table
WHERE ExpirationDate Between Date() and DateAdd("d",30,Date())

In the query grid,
Field: ExpirationDate
Criteria: Between Date() and DateAdd("d",30,Date())
