Notify me of replies

I am not receiving notification of replies to my posted questions and I am
checking the box to be notified. I have shut off the spam filter at my DSL
source and have checked though the email addresses from my list of blocked
email on Norton AntiSpam. I don't know where else to look. Can anyone offer
suggestions? Actually, I am on several discussion boards, i.e., Excel, Flash
& Swish - and I am not receiving any notifications.

Probably not an Outlook issue - are you talking about the MS web interface
to the newsgroups? If so, you might want to consider using a newsreader like
Outlook Express or Forte Agent rather than the web interface - it's a lot
easier to do nearly everything there, including searching, which is always a
good idea to do before you post, as well as mark messages to be watched, and
filter based on replies to your posts.

The Microsoft public news server is msnews.microsoft.com and you can
subscribe to as many groups as you like.

Outlook does not notify you of replies, just if the mail was read. The mail
server notifies you if the mail was received, but only if it supports
delivery receipts.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
