Am working on amorphous, difficult to pin down ms. and jump from chapter to
chapter a lot. Any suggestions out there about how to organize? Working In
Word/Office 2003, extremely hesitantly, to be sure.

Provide a little more clarity on what you are attempting to do. As
for the chapter problem, use a single section on the initial draft,
then decide on your chapter breaks and use a new section for each
chapter; after that, you can jump from section to section quite easily
using the 'Go To' function.
