Novice help required for automated form

New to anything other than retrieving messages from Outlook but...

New situation calls for an automated process that:

1) receives email in which the message contains 4 fields - Date, Time,
Location and Status (I beleive they will only be seperated by spaces)

2) upon receipt, the message info passed to fill in a form that
contains the areas for the 4 fields

3) the form will be immediately printed.

Another option would be :

4) after printing, copy form to another program to allow typing in the
remaining fields of the form (Excel, Word, etc)

First off, can this be done exclusively in Outlook and if not, what
other programs/addons would be required. How much work would this
require VB (I would have to learn on the go) or is there something
similiar out there. This needs to be as automated as possible as the
system will be, for the most part, unattended.
