NTbackup of MS Access

I have a mail filter program that keeps its information in an .mdb file.
Since this contains all settings and logs etc... of filtered mail, i would
like to schedule backups preferable using NTBackup that comes with Windows
Server 2003.
My question is regarding whether it can be done live using volume shadow
copy or do i have to stop the Mail Filter Service so the database does not
get written to prior to backup.
Thanks

There are v.few backup apps that can deal with an app thats in use. I
believe that most merely delay the backup until the app is 'free', as to
whether NTBackup has this facility - I doubt.

Your odds of getting an informed response to a Windows Server question would
be much enhanced if you were to post your Windows Server question to a
newsgroup where the Windows Server gurus hang out.
