Number of fields allowed in creating report

For some reason, when I try to create a report, and I
choose the table/query that I wish to base my report off
of, it tells me that it cannot create the report because I
have chosen too many fields; please try again with fewer
fields. I didn't know that there was a maximum amount of
fields you could add to a report. Can anyone tell me how
many fields are the maximum, and how to get around this?
I really need to include all the information if possible.

Thanks,
Stacie

Open HELP and type"specifications".

How many fields are you pulling? My version of Access allows 754 controls
on a report which is more than enough. Have you thought of trying it with
subreports?

I'm trying to pull 64 fields. For some reason, it gives
me the following error message "The Wizard is unable to
create your form or report because you chose too many
fields; try again with fewer fields.", and this is when i
try to create a tabular report. How would subreports
differ from a regular report?

Ah - the wizard. Just pick a few to get the wizrd to make the report, then
modify it in design view. I have no idea what limitations of the report
wizard are. Just pull one or two of your detail fields and then add the
rest once the wizrd does it's thing.

Ok, I will give that a try. Thanks for getting back to me
so quickly. If you don't hear from me again, looks like I
got it to work right then! Thanks again!
