Numbering disappears in Word 2004!

I am trying the Office 2004 Test Drive. It so happens that when I use F9 to
update my cross references all the numbers in my Headings (with automatix
numbering) plainly dissapear.
Anybody else facing the same problem?

Hi Carlos:

No, no such problems here. You want to check that you do NOT have
"Automatically update" set on the styles?

Which styles are you using for your headings?

How did you apply the numbering?

Do you have Track Changes operating?

I need a lot more detail before I can diagnose this one.
