Numbering of MACROBUTTON heading is lost in table of contents

I wrote a macro that helps me to create cross references based on
captions just be click on the numbering field.

I put the following commands in the Word document:

{MACROBUTTON Macro_Ref Figure {SEQ Figure \* ARABIC}}:
Description of the figure

In the word document this command is displayed as:

Figure 1: Description of the figure

That's correct and the Macro works also fine. In the table of
contents menu (figure selection) the number is not displayed. There
are only the following words shown:

: Description of the figure

What can I do that the numbering within in a MACROBUTTON-command is
also added to the caption field?

What TOC field code are you using? Here, on a Word 2000 system,
{ TOC \c "Figure" } seems to correctly "see" the SEQ fields from
within the MACROBUTTON fields, as long as I set a starting number for
the first SEQ field (using the \r switch). Does that not work for you?

Hi,
I thing, that the description of my problem was not totally clear.

I wrote a macro that looks up in the cross-reference table, not the
table of contents,
(menu: insert-> reference -> cross-reference) for the selected
paragraph.
In this table the words which are written within the
MACROBUTTON-command are not included.

I tried to use this macro also for numbering of formulas (e.g. (3.10)).
In this case in the cross-reference table is empty.

If the problem is with the macro, you had better ask in a programming
newsgroup, and give examples of your code.
