O 97 Dictionary

I installed Office 97 mainly to activate the spell checker in OE. But it
does not work.

The "custom.dic" is only 1Kb. Where is the "regular.dic"? Shouldn't the
custom dictionary include all the contents of the regular one plus any new
words I have added?

Actually, the spell check in Office works fine. It is not working in OE. I
guess I'll follow up in the XP newsgroup.
