O2002 quit "auto-polling" for messages

I have been using Outlook (various versions) for years. I installed Outlook
2002 not too long ago, setting the "check for messages" for 1 minute. "Once
in a while" it works. Most of the time I have to click the "Send/Receive"
button to get it to poll the server.

Any ideas?

Of course. 1 minute does not permit enough time to request, authenticate,
send, receive and start all over again without generating conflicting
requests to the server. 10 minutes should be your minimum.

I'll try it, but I have been using Outlook since '97 and ALWAYS ran at 1
minute...or less.

You're missing the point just as you did on the Usenet

Regardless of whether you WANT to continue to tell people that one minute is too short, I like Larry have had mine set at 1 minute for the past 5 years with NO problems.

Rather than continue repeating your 10 minute recommendation, can you please investigate with MS Tech Support and simply find out why O2002 auto synch no longer works AS IT DID BEFORE
