-> [O2010] Unread Message Count in folders???

S

Steve JORDI

Hi,
I'd like to know how I can setup Outlook 2010 to indicate the number
of unread messages included within a folder.
I come from Lotus Notes and the parent folders always said how many
unread messages you had in the subfolders.

Example, I have a folder named "Orders"
In this folder, I have three subfolders: Symantec, Microsoft, Adobe
If a rule redirects a new email to one of those folders, the folder
itself indicates "1" for 1 unread message.
But when Orders is collapsed, I have no way to know it contains unread
messages.

Any way to have the parent folder propagde the unread message count?

Thanks for any help.

It is already setup. Look on the bottom left hand corner of the Outlook window when
open and it will tell you how many read and how many not read when you click on any
folder on Outlook

Sorry, the only info on the bottom left corner is the number of
messages in the current view. Only this.
Still it doesn't tell me I have 3 unread messages in a specific folder
so I miss them and will discover them by chance someday if I open that
folder.

What I want is each folder with the number of unread messages in them.
Just like any freewares and sharewares I know do...
This is not even a basic feature.
