Hi

I'm struggling with a problem here. I want to create a template which has a logo in the same spot on every slide. Is it somehow possible for me to place the logo in the slide master, and the user could change pictures in the presentation? I've tried but when I change the picture in the placeholder it moves up in the hierarchy and ends up on top of the logo.

Hi,

No, the idea of the slide master is that whatever you put onto the slide
master or format on the slide master cascades throughout the presentation.

However, you can achieve the result you want by creating new slide
layouts that have the same formatting that omit the logo. That way your
user can choose from identical layouts with and without the logo. When
you customize a layout, it no longer is a "slave" to the "master" slide.
