Objects prepared in Office 2003 do not appear

It take an on-line course. The courses were prepared with Office 2003. Some
lectures contain Math Type equations and dot-plot graphs. These equations and
dot plot graphs do not show up on my laptop when I open the lecture files
although the english words explaining the graphs do show up. The lecture
files are in standard .doc format. I am using Office 2007. How do I deal with
this problem.
