October problem in date filters

Hi All,
I am facing a strange problem in setting up views in PWA.
When I use any date field for filtering in the views,
October dates cause a view to be blocked.

Eg: To identify the slipping tasks as on date, if I set
the filters as % complete < 100% and Finish date less
than or equal to October 10 2004, then the view does not
display any data and also when I get into the view, the
drop down list to change to a different view is also
greyed out.
Boundary cases: Finish date greater than 9/30/2004 works
fine but Finish date greater than or equals 10/1/2004
does not work. Finish date less than or equals 11/1/2004
works fine but less than 10/30/2004 does not work.

Can some one throw some light on this strange situation
