Can somebody help me with this message? I have always been under the
impression that I receive this message when the query I wrote is chugging
away and the server is slow...and I am basically asking for way too much.
Then I simplify my query or break it into two queries. This usually cures the
problem.
I can run the query when I link to the tables in one SQL db but when I try
to run my query linked to our new server with the identical data I get the
error.
My IT group is telling me that it my ODBC connection but the ODBC
connection works fine for other queries using the new sever. My guess is
performance not the connection...am I wrong?
