ODBC Error Message: Timeout Expired (#0)

P

Paul

When performing a query on linked tables in a database
residing on SQL server v7.5.1, the following message is
returned:

ODBC--call failed
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Timeout expired (#0)

I am unable to find this particular error in the Knowledge
Base articles. Can anyone relate what causes this? We
use Access 2002 (10.4302.4219), SP 2. Operating system is
Windows 2000 Professional.

Change to design view, then in the emtpy area of the query
window where the tables are shown right-click and select
properties. Check the time out and make sure it says 0
(zero). I had this problem before (timeout was = 60 sec.),
and when I changed it to 0 the problem disappeared.
Hope it helps.
