ODBC fails to find the SQL server

I can not link into a server based SQL server from my
workstation. Where and What do I look for to find the
problem?

Are you creating a System DSN connection using the ODBC manager under the
Control Panel or Admin Tools? You don't state what OS your workstation is
running so the naming of the ODBC manager is different.
