odbc link changes data type

I have a SQL Server 2005 back end and an Access 2003 front end. My tables and
views are linked using ODBC connections. In the last couple of weeks, I've
had a problem with Access changing numeric (decimal or numeric) data types to
text. Can anyone help? Is that an ODBC driver problem? If it's ODBC related,
can you direct me to information that will help me figure out what's going on.
Thanks.

you should use ADP because then you wouldn't have to deal with any of
this crap

File, New, Project (existing data) in Access 2003

Ignore Aaron. He is a known troll, with one answer no matter the situation.

From what I have read you are correct about ADP.

the way that they are moving?

a) please give references, this is a myth
b) they're not moving anywhere. ADP are already here and it is a more
stable platform for a dozen reasons. Namely- it works over _ALL_
networks
